“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it. And He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday.” Psalm 37:5-6
I read recently that the African impala can jump to a height of over 10 feet and cover a distance of greater than 30 feet. Yet these magnificent creatures can be kept in an enclosure in any zoo with a 3-foot wall. The reason for this is that zoo-keepers have learned that the animals will not jump if they cannot see where their feet will land.
Could it be that in our faith we suffer from the same difficulty trapped in enclosures of little significance held there by fear? Is God calling us to move ahead yet we hesitate in fear because we are not able to see the complete outcome? Remember, the disciples made a decision and followed Jesus at His call, and not one of them knew what each day would hold, nor where they were going.
The good news was that they didn’t have to lead, they just had to trust in His leading. Are you still following and trusting?
