From the time that my kids were young I would joke with them that ” I knew everything.”
I usually said it when I came up with a right answer to a question, found something lost, or in some cases had that parental sense to catch them just before they were about to get into trouble or hurt.
The truth is, I as a husband, Dad, or Pastor, I know very little compared to all there is to know and all that needs to be known. I am desperately dependent upon a faithful God to give me wisdom and knowledge at the proper time to help save, heal, and guide.
Like Paul, I have to daily stand before God seeking His perspective, insight, and help to accomplish all that is before me whether it is smooth sailing or rough seas. But also like Paul, I can have the confidence to know that God does speak to us according to our needs that we can continue to be successful and a witness for Him. Trust Him. “He is a very present help in a time of trouble.” Ps. 46:1
