ARE YOU WILLING TO STILL BE IN THE FRAY?

ARE YOU WILLING TO STILL BE IN THE FRAY?

“Israel and the Philistines were drawing up their lines facing each other. David left his bags with the keeper of supplies, ran to the battle lines.”

When confronted by his older brothers David says, “Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17: 21-22, 36-37

We live in a day when many Christians desire to retreat from the battle.

Instead of running toward the battle-line in the name of the Lord, they are sitting with their bags.

It is as if Jesus can’t return soon enough, and the Holy Spirit is treated as a poor substitute. Have they forgotten that David’s earlier battles with the lion and the bear gave him confidence.

In other words, all our tribulations have purpose and are designed to showcase His presence and power. Each battle we have come through trains us for other foes yet to be revealed.

There are Goliath’s still to be laid low and multitudes needing deliverance.

Thank God for all the believers who are still in the fray.
