YOUR JOURNEY

Recently I was the officiant at a memorial service of a retired law enforcement officer.

When you listened to the various speakers who eulogized his life it was easy to see a powerful truth displayed in the way he lived. His life taught that not all hero’s wear capes made by people like a costume accessory, but were ones forged by God through a good deal of difficulty. He lived to do more than “save the day,” but rather taught people to savor and cherish our days.

He wanted those he cared for to see the end from the beginning and enjoy the journey. I think his message is deep wisdom from the Lord that we should take to heart. Enjoy your journey with the Lord!
