“But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.” Numbers 14:24
“A different spirit,” –what a wonderful description of this man of faith, and how it made him exceptional…
“And taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village;” Mark 8:23
When I think of this picture of Jesus leading a blind man down the street many thoughts come to mind. That blind man represents each one of us in our sinful lost state…
“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And He called a child to Himself and set him among them, and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:1-4
Each time I come across this passage in my own devotions it allows me a moment to look at myself to see if I need to measure down again to the qualities of a child…
