Pastor’s Word for the Week

There is no mistaking the effect of light upon a darkened place…

No matter how many times a certain sin has defeated you, God can bring change to your life…

The more you are willing to recognize your weaknesses and limitations, the more God’s power can work in you and through you…

“But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.” Numbers 14:24

“A different spirit,” –what a wonderful description of this man of faith, and how it made him exceptional…

And Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying on the temple grounds, and He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. And He said to them, “It is written: ‘MY HOUSE WILL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER’; but you are making it a DEN OF ROBBERS.” And those who were blind and those who limped came to Him in the temple area, and He healed them.” Matthew 21:12-14…

The Bible says, “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son . . . “Gal. 4:4.

But the reality is, most people missed the miracle of the moment…

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things” ( Phil. 4:8).

Make this Christmas great by following the wisdom Paul wrote to the Philippians…

The blind songwriter, Fanny Crosby, wrote : “Chords that were broken will vibrate once more…”

Maybe the promises of God look impossible in your life– you feel you’ve messed up, missed your opportunities, or have gotten too old…

“And while He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure nard; and she broke the vial and poured it over His head. But some were indignantly remarking to one another, “Why has this perfume been wasted?”

But Jesus said, “Let her alone; why do you bother her? She has done a good deed to Me.”  Mark 14:3,4,6.

Every day Jesus went forth into the sea of humanity and had multitudes coming to Him to have their needs met…
