A Big Song!

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

This morning I heard the most wonderful sound outside my window.

It was the bright and clear sound of a bird singing and rejoicing over the day. Because it was so loud I was quite surprised to see the smallest bird throwing back its very tiny head warbling.

It was a tiny bird with a big song.

Then it struck me that we, too, can be tiny birds with big songs, as we rejoice over how big God is and how much He loves us!

You don’t have to be a big bird in this life to put forth a big sound and it is the song that got my attention, not the stature of the bird.

People who have joy and praise in their lives stand out. They make a difference and can powerfully dispel darkness by their light heartedness.
