AN ENLIGHTENED SOUL

There is a quality that every Christian should have. Robert Louis Stevenson described it when he was speaking of a friend. He said, “When he comes into a room it is as though someone had lighted another candle.” 

To me, a Christian is an enlightened soul that is like a lit candle. That one candle can light a thousand others without diminishing its light. It lives to add warmth and show the way, and selflessly gives itself away. 

“You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.” Psalm 18:28
