While remembering the past can be healthy, living in the past is not.
The past cannot be changed. You can learn from the past so that you don’t repeat your mistakes. Your past is most beneficial when you use it to improve your future.
Live like you drive a car. Look straight ahead with only glances to the rear view mirror.
Driving while fixated on the rear view mirror leads to disaster.
