WHAT A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING WE HAVE HAD! Despite the situation the world faces with Covid, we know we have hope in our Lord Jesus Christ! We know this to be true because of Jesus’ character and the person He was when He was here on earth.
John 11:35 says, “Jesus wept.” His love for a wonderful family–Mary, Martha, and Lazarus was evident in the fact that when Lazarus died, Jesus wept. He wept not only because of Lazarus’ death, but because of the deep sin that exists in the world today that ultimately claims the lives of everyone. He knew His imminent death on the cross was absolutely necessary after He experienced the death of His beloved friend, Lazarus…He knew He had to conquer death in order for us to live with Him forever!!
This indicates the deep feelings and emotions Jesus experienced…the same emotions and feelings we deal with on a daily basis. Isn’t it wonderful to know Jesus, in all His heavenly glory, understands us to depths we cannot comprehend!
As we approach the Christmas season, remember Jesus in everything you say and do…He understands and loves us, so we have nothing to fear or hide!
