There is an epidemic of loneliness spreading throughout our way of life.
We lose touch with our family, with our neighbors, and even with each other in churches.
Everyone is caught up in the rush of life. Richard Foster describes our condition this way, “In contemporary society our Adversary (the devil) majors in three things: noise, hurry, and crowds. If he can keep us engaged in ‘muchness’ and ‘manyness,’ he will rest satisfied.”
Even Dr. C.J. Jung speaks to the hurry of our time, “Hurry is not of the Devil; it is the Devil.”
That is why it is all the more important to let nothing interfere with the day off God commanded, in order to spend it with Him, and the ones we love. Keep the Sabbath day holy! Go to church and connect!
