OBEYING GOD WITHOUT EXPLANATION

“When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.” Matthew 1:24

Today I was reading from a book by Max Lucado. He reminds us of the faith that this young man had when hearing what God was calling him to do. Simply put…. he obeyed. “He obeyed when the angel called. He obeyed when Mary explained. He obeyed when God sent them to Egypt.

He was obedient when the sky was bright. He was obedient when the sky was dark. He didn’t let his confusion disrupt his obedience. He didn’t know everything, but he did what he knew.  Why? Because that is what God said to do.”

Oh to be more like Joseph, acting without knowing everything and trusting in the faithfulness of God.
