“How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble.” Psalm 41:1
I love reading stories because they tend to speak to my heart more than to my head. One in particular short story touched me this week.
It was about a little country boy who wore a thin, ragged coat and worn out shoes.
He was struggling through deep snow on his way to school one bitter-cold winter’s morning when several youths who walked nearby began taunting him: “You call yourself a Christian? Well, then, why doesn’t your God tell someone to give you a warm coat and some boots?”
The boy replied, “I think He is, but no one is listening.”
