As I was driving today I had such an impression from the Lord that was connected to this passage in Song of Solomon 2:15. “Catch the little foxes for us. The little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, while our vineyards are in blossom.”
It is just a reminder that so often it is the little irritants that remove the joy from our lives. Like little foxes, these things don’t appear to be much of a threat, but the little nibbling does great damage to a wonderful crop that should be a blessing.
It is a reference to life’s hang nails that happen and constantly remind us of a pain, hurt, fear, doubt, worry, etc… Before long, things have been transformed from joy into what I would call, slight misery. Slight, because it is not catastrophic, but misery none the less.
Let’s catch the little foxes before they can do much damage!
Drive them out of your mind in the name of the Lord now, and you will have a more peaceful week.
