“Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters–one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (Matthew 17:4)

It must always be remembered that we cannot depend upon great events, wonderful circumstances, or resounding moments to be the measure of our zeal, courage, faith, or love.

All of those qualities must be measured by the commonplace, daily- grind tasks of everyday life.

Yes, we can thank God for the mountaintop experiences; but unless we are able to bring it down to the elevation of everyday life, and “teach it to walk with feet, work with hands, and stand the strain of daily life,” we have really not been effected by it.

“The uncommon life is the product of the day lived in the uncommon way.” (Mrs. Charles Cowman)
