When Paul was sent by God to Rome, the journey would include him having to endure a shipwreck.
Acts 27:20 reveals that the most dangerous part of the threat of shipwreck was not about the events on the outside but the shipwreck on the inside in their hearts.
“Since neither sun not stars appeared for many days, and no small storm was assailing us, from then on all hope of our being saved was gradually abandoned.”
Paul’s bedrock confession did not rest on the circumstances but upon God’s word to him. “Do not be afraid Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has granted you all those who are sailing with you.’ Therefore, keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will turn out exactly as I have been told.” Acts 27:23-26
Believe God. Things will turn out exactly according His word.
