GREATER VICTORIES!

GREATER VICTORIES!

Through faith in God David conquered the lion and the bear, and later would defeat the mighty Goliath.

Each attack leading up to Goliath was a wonderful opportunity for David to prepare for greater victories.

He probably never thought that the attacks of a lion and a bear would really be blessings in disguise, but they were.

In fact, it should be a reminder to all of us that our challenges are not meant to defeat us but rather are blessed opportunities designed to prepare each of us for greater victories.

The confrontations trained David to be a victor and not a victim.

In his own words David told Saul why he believed he could defeat the Philistine. “When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock, I went out after him and attacked him, and rescued it from his mouth; and when he rose up against me, I seized him by his beard and struck him and killed him.Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them.” (1 Samuel 17:34-36)
