HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Cor. 12:9

This passage is a part of a heartfelt declaration of Paul’s feelings regarding an issue in his life that remained to torment him in spite of his many pleadings to God. His conclusion was that God had a plan that would result in a powerful outcome, one based solely on His grace and would be produced through the portal of his weakness.

Likewise, we must also have faith in God’s dealings and in His sufficient grace looking to a sure powerful outcome. In the mean time we can have faith in God’s great work and that He is accomplishing what is vital in and through our lives. The hammer, the file, and the furnace, are not easy on the objects they produce but the results are strong and beautiful. To illustrate this I am reminded of the story of a man who went to visit a girl suffering a most cruel and painful disease. He took with him a little book of cheer for those in trouble, “a sunny book, a happy book, a laughing book. “Thank you very much,” she said, “but I know this book.” “Have you read it already?” asked the visitor. The girl answered, “I wrote it.”

The weightier things in life like gold are not found floating on the surface of the miners pan but at the bottom. That is where the wealth and weighty things reside to be raised up and redeemed. Trust God in His plan and the sure wonderful outcome of His all sufficient grace.
