No Greater Love

Love is best measured by what one is willing to sacrifice on behalf of another.

At a wedding it is the willingness to give your life away to your spouse for the rest of your days, taking into account the better and the worst.  It is the selfless state of wanting another’s happiness, knowing that it is essential to your own.

As someone once said, it is the knowledge that a life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love would have no roses.

Jesus knows this best. He came here to win some roses knowing He would have to bear the pain of wearing some thorns.

There is no greater love.
