When we hear the word, “simplify,” there is a tendency to think of self-imposed poverty or lowered ambitions. Some think of the simple life as an empty, boring existence.
But simplicity doesn’t take away from our lives. A simpler lifestyle may actually add quality and contentment to our lives. Simplifying our lives means identifying those things and those people who are really important to us, and learning to savor and cherish even the mundane.
When we do, life becomes richer, not poorer.
Remember, our problem isn’t that we need more.
We need better!
God isn’t the one who leads us to a more complicated and stress-filled life. All of us get there quite well all by ourselves! (Matthew 6:32)
